Leadership Practices 500
Objective: Implement leadership practices modeled by Don Wilson and the staff of CCV that have led to the success of this church.
1. Study Don Wilson by keeping a journal of personal interactions as well as observing his leadership practices with staff, members, and visitors. Identify his passions, his slogans, his vision/goals, and staff development.
2. Have lunch on campus with three L-team members. Document questions and answers to annotate similarities and differences between these leaders.
3. Attend and evaluate the leadership practices of "All Staff" meetings as well as all of your department meetings.
4. Attend and evaluate the leadership practices of one other department meeting you are not working in and debrief with your coach.
5. Participate in an Etiquette training annotating key actions for personal development.
6. Observe a teaching pastor on the Peoria campus for an entire Saturday weekend service. Journal your observations, particularly how they interact with CCV staff and guests, as well as inspecting other ministries on campus evaluating their effectiveness.
7. Make a list of "Why" questions concerning every aspect of CCV and find answers to them.
